The Most Amazing Parts of Our Day

On cold and windy farm days (42 as we’re writing, phew!) it can feel like there isn’t much that would warm you up! Though a hot cup of coffee or Tammy’s smile always helps. We also draw warmth and purpose from what we do every day.

John and Elmer Collins said it best this morning as they headed out to care for our BDA chickens and collect eggs:

“Getting to work every morning we love being greeted by 3 happy dogs, Tank, Ella, and Brea. They get so excited seeing us pull up each morning. After gathering feed for our chickens, Brea is always first back to the pasture, while Ella leads us on our way, walking out in front of the truck. Tank is still in the pasture, guarding the chickens while he waits for us to arrive. The dogs and the chickens make us feel good because we know that they love us. Our day wouldn’t be right if it wasn’t for them.”

For all of us here at BDA, seeing that our animals are happy each morning really warms our hearts and puts smiles on our faces. We know they love us, and we love them!
