New York Strip with Red Wine Reduction
It’s been waiting for you. Here at the farm, we like to prepare this classic cut with this great recipe.
What you need:
3 cloves garlic minced
1 cup red wine
1 Tbs BDA raw honey
2 Tbs olive oil divided
2 tsp. Salt
1 Tbs chopped rosemary
1 tsp. dried thyme
How to cook:
Preheat oven to 450F.
Pour rest of olive oil onto steaks and massage into meat.
Add garlic, salt, and herbs. Allow to marinate for at least 30 min.
Red Wine Reduction
Combine red wine, honey and half of oil in a small saucepan until gently boiling.
Reduce heat and continue cooking until sauce becomes thick.
Heat a large skillet, add some oil to the pan. Once hot, place steaks into the pan and sear for one and a half minutes on each side.
Place in a pan and put in oven. Bake for about 4 minutes for rarer steaks, increase the time to cook more thoroughly. Remove from oven and let sit for an additional 5 minutes before slicing.
Cut and drizzle with wine reduction.
Serve and enjoy!
